This is the fourth iteration of the Boogie Down Booth in five years. In addition to providing seating and lighting, and playing Bronx music, this version also incorporates a community bulletin board, a mural wall painted by local youth, a chalkboard wall, and a stage for local musicians to perform. This latest version incorporated insights from the Yes Loitering project.
Commissioned by: WHEDco—Major support was provided by the Neighborhood 360° Program, created by the NYC Department of Small Business Services to identify, develop, and launch commercial revitalization projects in partnership with local stakeholders.
